Since from the very first day I came to Chandigarh I was listening about Kasauli. The peace st place to hang out.
I also planned to explore kasauli on coming sunday i.e. 27th July 2008. This time i planned to take a long ride towards kasuali : The place with a peace. Kasauli is a small hill station situated at a height of 45 kms via panchkula while on a way to Shimla. One need to have 12 hrs in hand to plan and enjoy for one day if your are commuting from chandigarh.
I made my friend Neelabh ready to join me on this trip. We started our trip on my red beauty - FZ on 27th sunday at 9 am in morning after taking The only famous pranthas in our breakfast available in all streets of Chandigarh. One can start from sec 17 chandigarh and take madhya marg towards panchkula on NH-22 toward kalka. After 1/2 hr drive from Chandigarh we stopped at kalka, where we got opportunity to visit kalka devi temple. We found ourself lucky enough to stay in chandigarh just14 kms away from kalka devi temple where thousands of people commute daily from all across India to visit the holi shrine of Ma kalka devi. After that we left from there at 12 pm and decided not to stop before dharmpur which is 12 kms before kasauli. Though sun was bright but climate was quite in favor of us with a temp of 25-30c. Due to hilly area you can find yourself surrounded by greenery giving a cool feel which never let you fell tired. But be careful don't forget to wear glares as sometimes sun gives bright sunlight after showers. We were feeling bit tired after reaching dharmpur because of continuous riding. Therefore we decided to have a break for 15 min.
One can have a huge variety of Wines to drink for, on the way once you take left from NH 22 towards Kasauli..We took only red wine as none of us were addicted to alcohol but still we decided to taste just to know what pushes the alcohol sale to 2.5 crores last year in chandigarh. Unfortunatly we had to take a rest for 1/2 hr there only as our mind got fused for a while. Perfect time to reach kasuali is before 3 Pm because one can enjoy sun set after freeking in local market. We again started FZ and started towards our destination, as the height were increasing Silence were getting louder. Our ears got blocked leading us to a more silent zone. Then we realized why people say its the most silent hill station. After reaching kasauli we felt to sit numb for a while as our mind became thought less and no noise pollution was hitting our ears. Ksauli is the nice place to sit where u can rejuvenate your creativity and can also give thought to your life which is not possible in crowded streets where we live. Then we proceed towards old famous church the most likely place by visitors in kasauli.
We were approx done with all what a person can enjoy over there, then neelabh asked one localite for more places to explore over there. They told us about monkey point and sun set point to experience but we were told to reach by 1750 over there. while proceeding towards monkey point we got the opportunity to saw military prade also which is scheduled for every day at 1700 hrs in military area, Kasauli. After seeing them we learnt the perfect meaning of coordination and left for sunset point. Unfortunately we couldn't saw monkey point as nobody is allowed to go there after 1700 hrs .Seeing live sunset is such a great experience to view which one can ever had in his/her life. It was like - you are standing on one hill which is higher from the second one that too exactly in front of you. And sun is getting down and hiding itself, looking its being pulled by gravitational force of earth. A stage comes when one can see only the rays/bright light coming from back side of hills generally seen in media which co relates with some miracle like thing. All sky was painted with red n orange color of nature giving a feel of large painting on huge canvas. We couldn't resist ourselves to click that moment in our
